About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and review geotechnical designs, studies, and engineering analyses applied to mining, including dams, stockpiles, and containment structures;
Assess structural performance within an Engineer of Record (EOR) framework;
Provide technical guidance to office- and field-based teams;
Support decision-making and discussions with clients, multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, Independent Technical Review Boards (ITRBs), and international consultants.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering;
Advanced English proficiency;
Experience in consulting engineering applied to the mining industry;
Strong knowledge of field and laboratory testing, instrumentation data analysis, and numerical modeling (stability, groundwater flow, and stress-strain analysis);
Knowledge of Brazilian legislation and international best practices, including the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and ICOLD guidelines;
Preferred: experience in the same role at companies in the consulting sector;
Preferred: international experience;
Preferred: experience with highly complex projects, particularly in mining;
Preferred: field experience;
Preferred: PhD.
