About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Plaid’s relationships with a focused group of leading mortgage lenders, servicers, and ecosystem partners
  • Drive new business and expansion through a disciplined, consultative sales process
  • Uncover high-value use cases and build credibility with senior decision-makers
  • Partner with Product, Account Management, and other Go-To-Market colleagues to demonstrate measurable customer results
  • Own a named book of approximately 50 enterprise mortgage accounts
  • Serve as the core Plaid representative for assigned accounts
  • Sell the full Plaid product portfolio across the mortgage vertical
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Coordinate with product sales specialists and account pod members
  • Build executive relationships and identify Plaid’s business value and impact
  • Apply deep understanding of the mortgage landscape, including the end-to-end mortgage workflow, mortgage technology, and key partnerships
  • Articulate Plaid’s business value and technology advantage to lenders, servicers, and ecosystem partners
  • Collaborate with SDR, account manager, technical account manager, implementation manager, product organization, and other account-pod members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of quota-carrying experience in a new-revenue role
  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Strong track record of closing enterprise-level deals, including 5+ years focused on large enterprise customers
  • Ability to sell a technical solution to a business buyer and develop and deliver the value story at the executive level
  • Experience selling APIs or other developer-oriented products is a major plus
  • Superior communication skills, including discovery conversations, executive presentations, and internal alignment across multi-stakeholder deals
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills
  • Consultative sales approach and product-centric mindset
  • Working knowledge of the mortgage ecosystem
  • Existing relationships with lenders, servicers, or mortgage technology providers
  • Experience selling a broad, multi-product portfolio
  • Ability to work effectively with specialist or overlay resources
  • Enthusiasm for working in a high-growth environment and helping build processes and tools as needed
