About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and prioritize external data partnerships that improve Plaid’s Credit products, insights, and roadmap
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate product needs into partnership opportunities and bring new data capabilities to market
  • Lead the full partnership lifecycle from market mapping and sourcing through diligence, structuring, negotiation, and execution
  • Grow partnerships from initial integration through scaled usage, continually identifying opportunities to expand their impact
  • Build and manage external data partnerships supporting Plaid’s Credit products
  • Identify and prioritize partners, develop creative commercial structures, and negotiate complex agreements balancing product, economic, and strategic considerations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in data partnerships, product partnerships, business development, or a related field
  • Experience working in financial services, fintech, credit, or data businesses
  • Track record of sourcing, structuring, and negotiating complex strategic and commercial partnerships
  • Strong product orientation and ability to work closely with technical teams on complex data and integration topics
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to build a broader partner ecosystem
  • Excitement about using differentiated data to improve lending decisions and expand access to credit
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in dynamic, high-growth environments where roles and processes are still being defined
  • Ability to work from the associated Plaid office at least 3 days per week
