About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Locate and mark pipeline facilities under the Company Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures
- Perform pipeline patrols, population density surveys, leak detection surveys, and inspections
- Coordinate local damage prevention activities
- Oversee and inspect excavation activities near pipeline facilities for asset protection and compliance
- Inspect excavation and pipeline facility repair projects, including documentation, as-built drawings, contractor oversight, and construction representation
- Report project progress to Operations and the Project Manager
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies
- Participate in emergency responder programs
- Enter and retrieve data using Korterra and related applications
- Manage, coordinate, and review projects within the assigned area
- Represent the company in meetings with landowners, tenants, public officials, emergency officials, and local organizations
- Inspect and oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities
- Train and oversee company and third-party personnel as required
- Perform governmental compliance, mapping, record-keeping, and data-entry duties
- Participate in safety programs and initiatives
- Help develop O&M procedures, site-specific procedures, project scopes, and work plans
- Complete applicable documentation and record keeping
- Perform work in compliance with company standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and tariff requirements
- Maintain effective relationships with management, employees, customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum experience of 0–2 years with DOT Pipeline Safety and Part 195 Regulations
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work within a team, take direction, prioritize work, focus attention to detail, and follow rules/procedures
- Basic computer, math, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Cleared criminal history/background and satisfactory reference checks
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of employment; position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship
- Ability to work outdoors in any weather and perform driving, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting routinely
- Willingness and ability to be on-call after business hours, weekends, and holidays when assigned
- Possession of required equipment, tools, forms, policies, regulations, and manuals during on-call duty
