About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead people while performing hands-on product management and technical work
Own quality and direction for new products across a portfolio of companies
Test all work against acceptance criteria before it reaches stakeholders
Write test cases and test web applications on real iOS and Android devices
Sign off on releases when quality standards are met
Own product management end to end for new features and emerging products
Write acceptance criteria and maintain prioritized backlogs
Manage App Store and Google Play submissions, review responses, and mobile release schedules
Direct AI-assisted workflows for rapid prototyping and feature validation
Orchestrate handoffs from starter platforms to production engineering, company codebases, and AWS infrastructure
Perform technical reviews, diagnose build bottlenecks, and directly program code overrides or refinements
Help hire, structure, and scale the internal development organization
Mentor and train remote development teams and lead code reviews
Write job descriptions and screen and interview developers and testers
Interview stakeholders and developers and convert feedback into clear backlog items
Spend approximately 5 hours per week supporting the digital marketing agency's technical needs, including AWS accounts, hosting, access, software costs, and client projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience managing remote software engineering teams, running agile sprint cycles, and actively driving hiring strategies or organization building
10+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Supabase/PostgreSQL
Active, practical experience using AI code creation or agentic tools such as Lovable, Cursor, Windsurf, v0, or similar platforms
Strong UI/UX awareness, product intuition, and ability to think like a tech founder
Exceptional English communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to find bugs, write reproducible bug reports, and support fast developer fixes
Ability to turn rough product ideas into clear specifications and prioritized backlogs
Experience with AWS and getting mobile apps through App Store and Google Play review
Experience working on SaaS or marketing technology products
Experience with React Native, Capacitor, or another cross-platform mobile development approach
Experience as a fractional CTO, agency tech lead, or startup technical founder
Experience moving a product from an AI app builder into a production codebase
Familiarity with analytics, tag management, and CRM integrations
Fluent English, spoken and written, is required
Ability to work a combination of US and overseas hours and overlap with US stakeholders and developers in other time zones
