About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with clients to understand their requirements
- Assist Product Owners in building, organizing, and managing their backlog
- Organize the sprint backlog as the primary member of the Development Team
- Ensure stories are ready for sprint planning
- Validate stories throughout a sprint to confirm requirements meet Product Owner expectations
- Ensure product/project releases are well defined and communicated to the customer
- Visualize and manage work
- Manage customer relationships and expectations
- Serve as the leader of one or more teams
- Assist with backlog and acceptance criteria development in an Agile environment using Power Platform low-code/no-code capabilities
- Use Power Platform tools to manage work and collaborate with the team
- Uncover and identify client requirements and translate them into user stories
- Create and contribute to lifecycle documentation, including Software Requirements Specifications, Installation/Operations Manuals, Vision and Scope, and Software Design Documents
- Analyze problems and requirements to define and understand root needs
- Determine and model business processes to manage communication between business and development teams
- Organize and visualize work to manage customer expectations and delivery
- Create weekly/monthly status reports for customers and the Program Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience, ideally in a Federal work environment
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred or commensurate work experience
- Business Analyst certification and/or PMP
- Working knowledge of backlog management and user story creation
- Working knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum and/or Kanban practices
- Knowledge and experience with Power Platform tools and development
- Understanding of Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
- Proven excellence in communication skills working with customer outreach to determine project needs, uncover issues and escalating potential challenges
- Ability to define and manage projects and products throughout their lifecycle
- The ability to work onsite in the DC area as needed is a big plus
- Previous clearance at the Public Trust level, and/or the ability to hold a Public Trust clearance
- Select positions may require up to a 10-year background investigation and/or US Citizenship (clearable)
