About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write software requirements specifications
- Implement software systems according to requirements and architecture designs
- Test and validate software systems
- Maintain and support existing software systems
- Write technical documents and reports throughout the software development process
- Contribute to space and defense programs involving satellites, Earth Observation, geospatial intelligence, and ground systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant discipline
- Design patterns
- Experience with C++, Python, or Java
- Configuration management systems
- Agile software development methodologies
- Excellent command of Greek at native level
- English at full professional proficiency
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Analytical and critical thinking
- Good organization of work
- Curiosity and pragmatic self-learning ability
- Passion for learning new technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both within a team and autonomously
- Existing right to work in Greece; visa required for applicants from outside the EU
- Previous space-sector experience is a strong asset, including space missions, satellite systems, Earth Observation, downstream applications, or related aerospace projects
