About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage PPWP’s annual fundraising appeals and event fundraising goals
  • Co-create and implement annual donor cultivation and stewardship strategies
  • Cultivate grassroots and annual fund donors through social media, events, email, and other techniques
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement fundraising events for PPWP’s programs and services
  • Own annual grassroots fundraising campaigns, including Pledge-a-Picketer, Giving Tuesday, and Critical Needs Day
  • Execute omnichannel fundraising strategies and segment donor audiences based on donor data and behavior
  • Coordinate with Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Collaborative Fundraising Program
  • Collaborate with the Donor Database Coordinator on donor cultivation, stewardship, solicitation, and database records
  • Manage timely donor acknowledgment and gift acceptance
  • Plan and manage quarterly fundraising events, donor House Parties, and cultivation/stewardship events
  • Lead pre-event and day-of logistics, including RSVPs, timelines, vendors, staff, and attendee communications
  • Assist with planning PPWP’s Annual Spring Gala, the Bans Off Our Bodies Benefit
  • Serve as the community contact for third-party fundraising events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development
  • Demonstrated experience managing individual giving programs, including annual giving and appeals
  • Experience with digital and direct-response fundraising
  • Experience using donor database/CRM systems to track and analyze donor activity
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple deadline-oriented projects
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate, and persuasive communications with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials and situations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as events require
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and problem-solve under deadlines and pressure
  • Ability to use Google Suite and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to learn CRM and donor database systems
  • Must remain in a stationary seated position for up to 75%–90% of the working day
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, or Public Relations)
  • Experience with Salesforce or DonorPerfect preferred
