About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee accurate and timely entry of customer orders in the SAP ERP system, ensuring all specifications and requirements are captured correctly
Interface with Sales, R&D, Engineering, Estimating, Quality, Logistics, and Production teams to align on customer requirements, resolve issues, and ensure project success
Conduct thorough contract reviews, ensure compliance with customer expectations, company capabilities, and export control requirements, and identify potential risks
Act as the primary contact for customer orders, manage customer requests, and communicate changes through SAP and PLM systems
Support sales managers with inquiry reviews and quotation processes
Build and maintain relationships with aerospace and defense customers and address inquiries
Maintain accurate project records in SAP ERP, PLM, and file systems
Provide status reports to internal and external stakeholders
Ensure documentation complies with industry standards and regulations, including export control requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of customer service experience in a business environment - preferably manufacturing
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to read drawings and understanding customer specifications
Dependable, positive attitude, ability to work independently and in fast paced environment
Attentive to detail, multitasker, energetic, and forward thinking
Demonstrates an initiative for success and must be self-motivated
Knowledge of SAP/S4 or similar operating system is a plus but will train
Background in materials or metal industry is a plus but will train
Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%) for customer visits, trade shows, and to Plansee global sites
Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be authorized to access export-controlled information without a license; US Citizen or Permanent resident
