About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide analytical and data-driven components for the development of M&A transactions
- Build financial models by entering historical financial information, forecasting future periods, and developing sound assumptions
- Check models for validity and correctness
- Conduct industry and company research and analyze data
- Prepare selling document text, charts, visuals, financial data, and formatting
- Assemble, develop, and/or edit information requests, due diligence lists, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, proposals, and management presentations
- Work with middle-market clients on merger and acquisition transactions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Detail-oriented student with problem solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Thorough financial statement analysis skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- High degree of initiative, poise, and confidentiality
- Leadership qualities and drive to succeed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar field) at an accredited college or university
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Completion of introductory accounting and finance courses
- Prior accounting or finance related internships preferred
- May have to work hours exceeding the standard 40-hour work week
- May require some travel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified candidates bilingual in Japanese and English or Chinese and English
