About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather requirements from client stakeholders
Architect client data and analytics environments
Design, develop, and deploy data warehouses
Perform advanced SQL scripting and data engineering
Facilitate conceptual and logical data modeling
Develop advanced ETL processes and data pipelines
Perform API integration, deployment, and support
Develop and deploy reports and BI solutions
Mentor and coach less experienced staff
Participate in firm and client innovation projects
Support practice development activities
Support project management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
2+ years of experience with data engineering and analytics deployment
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and data development projects
Hands-on experience with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Fabric, or similar ETL technologies
Cloud data platform experience with Fabric, Synapse, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks
Experience configuring, deploying, and/or administering a cloud data platform is desired
Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools and processes is desired, including ADO, GitHub, or dbt
Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, CTEs, window functions, DDL, and DML
Experience developing and deploying Python ETL scripts and APIs is a plus
Experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry is a plus
Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, or Fabric certification(s) are a plus
Experience developing reports in a BI tool
Approximately less than 20% overnight travel
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified candidates bilingual in Japanese and English or Chinese and English
Exempt position may require working more than the standard 40-hour work week
