About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in developing and implementing a tax technology strategy and roadmap to automate, streamline, and standardize tax operations
- Develop low- to no-code technology solutions for the tax department
- Collaborate with Tax Subject Matter Experts to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain tools and templates
- Work with tax department personnel to understand needs and develop technology solutions
- Collaborate with engagement teams on using internally developed and third-party technology solutions
- Learn the firm’s technology stack, usage, and tax processes
- Analyze technology vendors and products to support investment decisions
- Participate in strategic research projects on advanced technology
- Assist with change management and training during deployments
- Manage responsibilities across multiple complex projects using basic project and process management skills
- Identify product development improvements aligned with tax growth initiatives
- Contribute to internal standards and processes for the practice
- Build relationships within and outside the firm through networking
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, tax, accounting information systems, data analytics, or related field
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
- Meticulous problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, APIs, and SQL preferred
- Pursuing a CPA license is a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified candidates bilingual in Japanese and English or Chinese and English
