About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in developing and implementing a tax technology strategy and roadmap to automate, streamline, and standardize tax operations
- Assist in developing low- to no-code technology solutions for the tax department
- Collaborate with Tax Subject Matter Experts to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain tools and templates used by engagement teams
- Work with individuals across the tax department to understand needs and develop technology solutions
- Learn the firm’s technology stack, usage, and tax processes
- Analyze technology vendors and products to support informed investment decisions
- Participate in strategic research projects on advanced technology
- Gain knowledge of public accounting and technology’s role in serving clients across multiple industries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or accounting information systems, or a Master’s degree in accounting or tax
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam and obtain a CPA license in the state of employment
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Previous experience with Power BI, Power Automate, APIs, and SQL a plus
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, with exceptions for qualified bilingual candidates in Japanese and English or Chinese and English
- Some local or national travel may be required
- Work hours may exceed the standard 40-hour work week
