About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support to production in the development, implementation, and improvement of assembly processes
  • Monitor process performance by analyzing deviations in quality, productivity, efficiency, scrap, and rework
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity studies, and workforce sizing
  • Identify and implement improvements focused on productivity, loss reduction, ergonomics, quality, and cost reduction
  • Monitor tryouts, process changes, fixture implementation, and new product launches
  • Prepare and review process documentation, including DFPs, PFMEAs, technical data sheets, and work instructions
  • Participate in Fast Response, 8D, Reverse PFMEA, and other problem-analysis and problem-solving routines
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in layout, production flow, fixtures, poka-yokes, and automation
  • Support the specification, implementation, and validation of fixtures and production equipment
  • Perform activities in accordance with the requirements of the IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 management systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing, preferably in the final semesters, or holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related fields
  • Knowledge of industrial/manufacturing processes
  • Basic knowledge of problem-analysis and problem-solving tools
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Availability to travel
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP
  • Knowledge of time studies, line balancing, and capacity studies
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge of assembly fixtures, poka-yokes, and automation
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949
  • Class B driver's license
