Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll support, and month-end close
Support revenue recognition processes, particularly for multi-element contracts
Oversee preparation of accurate and timely GAAP-compliant financial statements
Lead development of monthly management reporting package and weekly 13-week cash flow forecast
Manage annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
Manage federal, state, local, LLC, and C-corp tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors
Oversee development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies
Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting across the enterprise
Partner cross-functionally with HR, Sales, and Sales Operations on financial processes
Identify and implement efficiencies in financial systems and workflows
Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while reporting to the CFO
Impact final stages of Sage accounting software implementation
Lead evolution of monthly close process and related reporting

What you’ll need

10+ years of progressive accounting experience
5+ years in a controller role
CPA / MBA preferred
Experience in G/L design and implementation of accounting software
Experience working with Sage-Intacct & Salesforce integrations
Experience in professional services business model – time tracking/capacity & utilization
Experience with M&A (buy-sell-integration)
Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards
Experience overseeing month-end/year-end close processes and producing accurate financial statements
Experience managing internal controls, external auditors, tax advisors, and federal, state, and local tax and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in modern accounting systems and ERP software (Sage-Intacct)
Experience utilizing data analytics and AI
Experience leading annual budgeting and managing cash flow
Experience identifying financial discrepancies, safeguarding company assets, and mitigating fiscal risk
Experience collaborating with CFOs and executive leadership
