About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop architectures for modern, containerized SIGINT systems operating in backend, fog, or edge environments
Develop and evaluate concepts for using distributed, networked, and virtualized systems
Evaluate and select suitable cloud platforms, such as Kubernetes-based systems, for processing and analyzing SIGINT data
Analyze technology trends in cloud-native technologies, edge computing, and containerized payloads for SIGINT applications
Collaborate with industry partners, associations, and ministries
Participate in standardization committees at national and international levels
Derive the resulting requirements for systems and related products from partners and suppliers
Provide technological support during customer workshops and meetings, and advise customers and partners
Work closely with internal project teams within a matrix organization

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
In-depth understanding of the security and defense industry at national and international levels
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technologies and solutions clearly
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Podman, as well as orchestration with Kubernetes
Understanding of Software Defined Defence principles and their application in distributed, resilient SIGINT systems; initial experience from customer projects is an advantage
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel for business, up to 25%
