About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work hand-in-hand with the founder on special projects that drive step-change growth and market expansion
- Lead analysis and due diligence on potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships across European markets
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Plum's total addressable market, including new product verticals and geographic markets
- Synthesise complex, unstructured information into clear strategic recommendations and actionable plans
- Build financial models and business cases to assess commercial viability and future opportunities
- Take ownership of cross-functional initiatives from conception through execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the founder on strategic decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven track record in investment banking or corporate finance, ideally within financial services
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
- Fluency in a continental European language in addition to English
- Understanding of European markets
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving situations
- Comfortable taking calculated risks and making decisions with imperfect information
- Natural curiosity and drive to understand how things work and how they could work better
