About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare demand letters, termination letters and final collection notices for Senior Care accounts, QuickMar, Pharmacy and other business streams
  • Investigate and analyze customer scenarios
  • Maintain accurate customer files and correspondence for escalated customers
  • Report account status to the AR Escalations Manager and management
  • Assist with developing payment plans and collection solutions for outstanding balances
  • Manage internal and external communications related to escalated accounts
  • Support collection activities for a portfolio of low-dollar customer accounts
  • Communicate with customers about collection issues, actions, payment inquiries and invoicing
  • Identify billing issues through research and regular reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly account breakdowns and analyses
  • Compile invoice copies, credits and unapplied payment details
  • Prepare and reconcile accounts, unapplied credit balances and credit notes
  • Coordinate monthly pre-authorized payments with customers and the Payments team
  • Participate in customer and internal partner conference calls supporting recovery of past-due invoices
  • Support onboarding of new team members and coordinate co-op assignments
  • Perform ad hoc tasks supporting AR Escalations and AR Digital team objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience in finance is required
  • Accounts receivable experience preferred
  • High level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions
  • Strong diplomatic, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective attention to detail and high degree of accuracy managing reconciliations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated experience championing change in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coaching within a diverse team and in a business-to-business environment
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing and execution skills
  • Excellent computer skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Working understanding of the US Health Care system would be a benefit
  • Ability to reside within commutable distance of the specified office/location
