About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and lead Pointr's Program Management Office (PMO), setting its vision, structure, and operating rhythm
Directly manage Technical Project Managers based in the US and Turkey, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
Define and roll out standardized delivery methodology, templates, and playbooks across the project lifecycle
Establish and track portfolio-level KPIs including on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, resource utilization, and risk exposure
Consolidate project status, risks, and resourcing into executive-ready leadership reporting
Drive quality evaluations of completed implementations, including customer and end-user experience evaluations
Serve as escalation point for at-risk projects and unblock delivery issues before client impact
Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering leadership on capacity planning, staffing forecasts, and process alignment
Standardize project tracking and reporting tools such as Jira and Smartsheet
Foster ownership, continuous improvement, and knowledge-sharing across a distributed team
Stay close to Pointr's product and technology and feed field learnings into the product roadmap
Meet TPMs and stakeholders, map the project portfolio and delivery pain points, establish standardized playbooks and reporting cadence, and scale predictable delivery across the US and Turkey

Requirements

What you’ll need

8–12+ years of experience in customer-facing technical program/project management
Experience managing or leading a team of project or technical project managers
Prior experience building, running, or scaling a PMO or centralized delivery function within a technology, SaaS, or hardware company
Demonstrated success managing distributed, cross-border teams, ideally spanning US and international (EMEA/Turkey) time zones
Strong grounding in project/program delivery methodology, including Agile and hybrid approaches
Ability to translate delivery methodology into practical, adoptable playbooks
Track record of defining and reporting delivery KPIs to senior leadership
Excellent people-leadership skills, including coaching and performance management
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work with meaningful overlap across US (EST) and Turkey (TRT) business hours
Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English
Experience in indoor location technology, IoT, hardware deployment, or complex physical/technical implementation environments preferred
PMP®, PgMP®, or Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certification preferred
Experience setting up a PMO from the ground up in a scaling startup working with Global 500 and enterprise customers preferred
Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar preferred
BS or MS degree in a relevant technical, business, or management field preferred
