Identify opportunities, ship features, and iterate across the full stack
Take responsibility for technical implementation and product outcomes
Build intuitive interfaces, powerful APIs, and abstractions for billing and monetization workflows
Deliver continuous improvements while balancing speed, robustness, performance, and attention to detail
Engage with merchants to understand product usage and uncover pain points
Translate user feedback into meaningful product improvements
Collaborate openly and contribute across a small remote-first team
Shape and build the finance layer for next-generation AI products, including usage-based billing, programmable pricing, AI agents, real-time metering, pricing as code, and flexible customer identities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level engineering experience
Experience building, shipping, and evolving production software
Deep expertise in at least one part of the stack
Ability to work confidently across frontend and backend systems
Strong product judgment and design sensibility
Ability to take problems end-to-end with high ownership and autonomy
Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions without perfect information
Commitment to engineering quality, clean APIs, robust backend logic, thoughtful interactions, edge-case handling, and performance
Curiosity to learn new technologies and use AI-assisted development tools
Experience with payments, billing, or developer tools is a strong plus
Open-source contributions and side projects are valued
Frontend stack knowledge: TypeScript, React, Effect
Backend stack knowledge: Python, FastAPI, Dramatiq
Infrastructure knowledge: Postgres, ClickHouse, AWS
