About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the end-to-end supply chain strategy
Determine which manufacturing partners build what, where, and on what terms
Establish second sources for anything that can stop a deal
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate cost, quality, lead times and capacity
Lead the refurbishment and circularity strategy for repairing, regrading and redeploying returned sensors at scale
Plan supply for B2B deployments and consumer orders
Manage inventory and working capital
Oversee incoming inspection, supplier quality and field failure data feedback to engineering
Hire, coach and build the supply chain function
Work directly with the Chief Commercial Officer, engineering, finance and manufacturing partners
Ensure supply never limits a deal or launch
Reduce unit cost and measure supplier performance
Establish refurbishment recovery rates and costs
Provide numbers used by the CCO and finance for planning

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience scaling a hardware supply chain
Experience leading supply chain or operations for a connected hardware, electronics or medical device company
Experience through a step-change in volume
Experience building or scaling a refurbishment, repair or circular programme, including knowledge of its economics
Experience negotiating with contract manufacturers across borders, including in Asia
Experience building and leading a team
Ability to make decisions with incomplete data and explain them plainly to finance and sales
