About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect client space requirements and develop plan layouts with the project team
  • Develop design concepts, color/finish materials, and furniture selections for projects of varying size and complexity
  • Work with the project team on development and documentation of design solutions
  • Coordinate and specify interior furniture
  • Assist with preparing design presentation materials and renderings
  • Participate in development of construction documents using Revit
  • Attend client/project interviews as needed
  • Develop the interior design portion of projects, preparing design and construction documents aligned with client needs, project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables
  • Stay current with design trends, architectural/design products, and materials
  • Communicate regularly with clients to verify design requirements and specifications, review progress, deliver final presentations, and provide project updates
  • Work with Project Managers to confirm objectives and formulate client options
  • Prepare and conduct design and technical presentations for teams and/or clients
  • Participate in marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with integrated design teams and multidisciplinary design professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • NCIDQ certified or actively pursuing
  • CID is a plus
  • 2+ years of workplace interiors experience required
  • Experience in other project types is a plus
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other design software, with an emphasis on 3D presentation
  • Good knowledge of applying interior design principles, practices, and concepts
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changes in work requests or environment
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed with some guidance
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Cover letter and portfolio required with application
