About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work directly on the security incident queue, performing operational containment and mitigation
- Interpret and analyze operating system logs (Windows Event Logs and Linux Syslog), network assets, and XDR solutions
- Develop script-based automations to optimize operational routines and integrate security solutions
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of visibility across SIEM and SOAR tools
- Conduct proactive threat hunting based on hypotheses and Indicators of Compromise (IoCs)
- Investigate the causes of incidents and monitor the execution of remediation plans
- Serve on the front line of the cybersecurity operation (SOC), managing the incident queue, analyzing logs, containing threats, and mitigating risks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience with SOC operations, ticket management, and incident response
- Ability to read and interpret operating system logs (Windows/Linux) and analyze network traffic
- Practical knowledge of SIEM and SOAR solutions
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and security (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with automation and data analysis (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Knowledge of ethical hacking and cybersecurity defense fundamentals
- Availability to work on-call shifts, as required by operational needs
- Preferred: proficiency with the MITRE ATT&CK or Cyber Kill Chain frameworks
- Preferred: industry certifications, such as CompTIA Security+
