About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and enhance Porto’s Android SuperApp in Kotlin, applying modular, scalable, and high-performance architecture concepts
- Actively participate in code reviews, write automated tests, and monitor code quality metrics
- Collaborate on the technical validation of workflows across multiple products, working closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams
- Identify and propose refactoring opportunities and technological improvements, helping mitigate bottlenecks and technical debt across the Android ecosystem
- Share knowledge with the team and help promote best practices in the team’s day-to-day work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience with Kotlin and native Android development
- Practical experience with projects structured across multiple modules (multirepo)
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, Clean Code, and technical documentation
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Preferred: experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and knowledge of the Google Play Store publishing process
- Preferred: knowledge of Firebase and SonarQube
- Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Bitrise)
- Preferred: participation in tech communities, events, or Open Source projects
