About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Structure, measure, and track governance KPIs, with a focus on data quality initiatives
- Monitor and enforce governance policies across the Access, Anonymization, Quality, Catalog, and Ownership pillars
- Develop and implement AI Governance policies
- Monitor models and establish secure guardrails for the consumption of corporate data
- Lead Data Governance Forums and foster a data-driven culture
- Bring business, data, and technology teams closer together
- Build bridges between business, Engineering, and Analytics
- Oversee the practical application of governance within a robust, multi-cloud ecosystem
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of direct experience in Data Governance
- Experience designing and tracking indicators and metrics
- Ability to operate across both the technical and functional aspects of Data Governance
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build partnerships, demonstrate resilience and adaptability, and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels and across business areas
- Proven experience designing and implementing processes for the main Data Governance disciplines
- Experience defining and developing indicators to measure process efficiency
- Experience leading forums and committees
- Solid experience in highly complex corporate environments and multi-cloud architectures
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with GCP, Azure, and Databricks
- Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency for process validation and auditing
- Knowledge of and experience with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) — a plus
- Practical knowledge of corporate data catalogs and data quality processes and tools — a plus
- Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with AI Governance, usage monitoring, and the implementation of security guardrails — a plus
- Previous experience in the insurance or financial services industry — a plus
