About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the engineering team in the day-to-day work of the squads, ensuring technical alignment with enterprise architecture guidelines and the continuous delivery of value
  • Translate and break down complex architectural designs and business strategies into clear technical tasks, supporting the decomposition of code complexity
  • Drive the platform’s technical evolution through modern microservices practices
  • Encourage and guide the integration of AI accelerators, such as copilots, into the development lifecycle and the final product
  • Ensure non-functional requirements for security, robustness, automated test coverage, high performance, resilience, and observability
  • Work with the Product Owner to balance new features with technical debt mitigation
  • Plan safe legacy coexistence and migration strategies
  • Support the technical development of mid-level and senior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and the promotion of Clean Code, TDD, and DDD

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong practical knowledge of microservices patterns, RESTful API architecture, API gateways such as Sensedia or CA Gateway, asynchronous messaging with Kafka or RabbitMQ, and Mulesoft integration tools
  • Extensive experience with the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Java Web
  • Experience with Node.js
  • Familiarity with front-end development using React, Angular 14+, and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with the AWS cloud environment
  • Strong experience with DevOps culture and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, SonarQube, Pipeline as Code, and GitHub/GitLab
  • Experience with Oracle relational databases and NoSQL/cache technologies such as MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch
  • Experience monitoring complex production environments using Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, or AppDynamics
  • Technical and architectural expertise to guide integration and strangler-pattern strategies for legacy systems using SOAP, XML, EJB, and JPA
  • Extensive experience with Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with a commercially available LLM is desirable
  • Ability to engage, motivate, actively listen to, and empower professionals
  • Ability to translate technical complexities into clear business language and vice versa
  • Autonomy to make quick decisions under pressure and remove architecture or infrastructure blockers
  • Balance between technical excellence and a sense of urgency
