About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment and solar equipment
  • Maintain updated Case Records in NetSuite
  • Set up data monitoring
  • Provide feedback to the Field Manager on quality issues identified on installations
  • Promptly respond to new service cases by coordinating with the Case Manager and customer
  • Provide updates on Service Cases to the Service Manager
  • Maintain stock on the service truck and ensure it is clean, serviceable, and organized
  • Plan materials needed for service calls and identify new products to solve technical issues
  • Travel to job sites
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support the business
  • Report to the Service Manager; generally work Monday–Thursday with some flexibility in hours

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Highly organized
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurance
  • Furnish your own basic set of electrical tools
  • 1–3 years of experience installing with a good foundation of all aspects related to solar systems (desired)
  • NEC Code knowledge (desired)
  • Residential Journeyman's License or eligible to sit for the ER1J exam within one year of hire (desired)
  • NABCEP Installer Certification (desired)
  • Commercial Journeyman electrician license (desired)
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, squat, kneel, walk on uneven surfaces, work with hand tools, and work full days outside in inclement weather
  • Ability to work on a computer and at a desk for multiple hours during the day
