About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver engaging classroom instruction aligned with university learning outcomes and syllabi
  • Provide personalized learning and student coaching experiences
  • Maintain subject matter expertise across core MBA disciplines, including Strategic Management, Financial Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Economics, Accounting, and Business Ethics
  • Adhere to university best practices, protocols, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Build strong student relationships and support student success
  • Manage classroom conduct and academic engagement
  • Collaborate with the Assistant/Program Chair and Student Advising to address student concerns
  • Evaluate student performance using course deliverables and rubrics
  • Post interim grades in Blackboard Grade Center and final grades in WebReg
  • Participate in discussion boards, class discussions, and chat sessions as required
  • Submit assignment, discussion board, exam, and course completion grades on schedule
  • Participate in and coordinate end-of-class “close the loop” meetings with APM as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a master’s degree
  • Significant experience in the area of instruction
  • Official college transcripts on file with Associate Experience/Human Resources
  • Completion of a training session before the first teaching assignment
  • Directly related doctoral-level degree preferred
  • College teaching experience of two or more years desired
  • Desire to experience 21st-century models of teaching and learning
  • Integrity and work ethic
  • Superior relationship-building skills with students or other associates
  • Affinity for the mission of higher education
  • Computer and systems usage competency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems, and business software applications desired
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
  • Ability at times to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
