About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follow detailed instructions from the Manager, Supervisor, and/or Lead
- Assist with event set-up and tear-down, including fencing event perimeters, branding, tents, and PA systems
- Ensure the safety of event set-up and atmosphere
- Assist with event coordination, sponsor banner placement, resort branding, and mountain signage
- Assist with race course set-up, maintenance, race timing, and results
- Assist with competitor registration and awards ceremony set-up and tear-down
- Maintain professional and clear radio communication
- Provide a high level of customer service to event competitors and participants
- Collaborate with HR, Food & Beverage, and other resort departments to facilitate events
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current and valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age requirement: 18+
- Advanced ski or snowboard ability preferred
- Must be comfortable loading, riding, and unloading a chair lift
- Other types of over-the-snow travel may be required (training provided)
- Ability to work long hours outside in an inclement winter environment
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Preferred 1 season related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Seasonal commitment required
- Availability throughout Mt. Bachelor’s complete winter season, lasting until the end of May
