About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and assemble food and beverage items, including grab-and-go offerings, light fare, coffee, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Follow established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards across prep and service areas
  • Support basic kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation, stocking, and organization
  • Monitor product quality and ensure offerings meet Trailhead Lodge standards
  • Work under the direction of the Guest Experience Supervisor/Manager
  • Interact directly with lodge guests and community visitors
  • Collaborate with Guest Experience, Housekeeping, Facilities, Night Audit, and Events teams
  • Provide operational support to Events and Activities during high-volume periods or staffing gaps
  • Act as an escalation point for guest concerns when the Guest Experience Supervisor or Manager is unavailable
  • Support work-order communication and guest issue resolution cross-functionally
  • Assist with reinforcing guest service training and standards
  • Maintain a professional, guest-ready presence and follow safety, service, and documentation procedures
  • Support other departments during peak periods or weather events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior F & B experience
  • Outgoing personality with a genuine desire to host and help people
  • Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with guests
  • Ability to remain calm, friendly, and solution-oriented in fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-system environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and guest confidentiality
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate guest-facing technology platforms, including reservation systems, POS systems, and CRM tools
  • Proficiency with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), such as Stay N Touch, Cloudbeds, Roommaster, Maestro, Mews, or similar systems
  • Working knowledge of OTA and channel management platforms, such as SiteMinder or comparable systems
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required
  • Oregon Food Handler Card
  • OLCC Alcohol Service Permit
  • Maintain compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • 3+ years in a similar role
  • Ability to shovel snow and walk on steep and uneven surfaces
  • Minimum age requirement: 21+
