About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive teamwork across the organization to develop supply chain solutions

  • Lead contract disputes with suppliers

  • Act as the internal voice of the electrical and energy storage industry
  • Translate technical equipment capabilities into commercial category and sourcing strategies
  • Research market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier landscapes related to electrical equipment, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and power generation applications
  • Engage manufacturers, integrators, and new market entrants to gather competitive intelligence and identify sourcing opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and technologies
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and industry stakeholders
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align commercial strategies with industry standards, technical capabilities, and business objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or technology field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience handling a diversified supply chain environment
  • Certification from Institute of Supplier Management (ISM) or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred
  • Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills
  • Safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • Previous project management and negotiation experience
  • Expertise in category and supplier management
  • Ability to communicate effectively in technically informed commercial discussions
  • Strategic expertise in category and supplier management
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through technically informed, commercially driven communication
  • Proficiency in material planning
  • Proactive engagement in market research and supplier networking
