About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design and integration of plant-wide control systems
  • Design and integrate Balance of Plant, generator and turbine controls, Power Management Systems, and Battery Energy Storage Systems
  • Develop and review control narratives, system logic, cause-and-effect matrices, and network architectures
  • Provide technical direction to control system integrators, vendors, and OEM partners
  • Support FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operations
  • Troubleshoot, test, and optimize control systems to improve reliability and performance
  • Lead design reviews, Management of Change, and system implementation activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and engineering standards
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and operations teams to deliver integrated plant solutions
  • Define control system architectures, solve integration challenges, and bring critical facilities online safely and efficiently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Staff: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Staff: Twelve (12)–fifteen (15) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry
  • Senior: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Senior: Eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry
  • Experience with PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems
  • Control system programming, configuration, and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley / FactoryTalk and AVEVA (Wonderware)
  • Experience with power system controls and SEL applications
  • Knowledge of industrial networking and OT/IT integration
  • Knowledge of OPC UA, DNP3, and IEC 61850 communications
  • Experience with P&IDs, instrumentation, and control system commissioning
  • Experience with large capital projects and EPC environments
  • Approximately 25% travel, with increased travel during commissioning and startup
  • Preferred: PE License
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
