About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage detailed implementation of intralogistics projects, including costs, quality, and time
- Manage all trades and interfaces throughout the project
- Oversee all phases from contract signing to customer acceptance of the system
- Implement automated logistics systems involving rack operating equipment, materials handling technology, and warehouse control
- Allocate subcontractors in coordination with Purchasing
- Serve as the interface between customers and internal/external partners and suppliers
- Coordinate all project functions
- Maintain and distribute updated project schedules internally and externally
- Provide weekly reports to internal and external teams and monthly reports to management
- Transfer projects from planning/design
- Specify and clarify scope of supply and services
- Participate in discussions regarding IT requirements specifications
- Distribute updated working drawings
- Coordinate construction-site activities as the contact person for customers and partners
- Ensure compliance with quality, cost, and scheduling requirements
- Create risk assessments
- Provide construction management and support commissioning
- Monitor and assess contractual services
- Compile complete project documentation
- Prepare and conduct customer acceptances
- Transfer completed projects to After Sales Service
- Support customer satisfaction throughout project delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, IT or industrial engineering with a focus on materials handling technology/logistics or comparable education is a plus
- A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in project management role or in project management in a relevant area, ideally in the role of general contractor (m/f)
- Knowledge in the field of logistics, specialist area materials handling technology, automated warehouse technology, control technology and IT for material flow systems
- Extensive experience in the implementation of turnkey materials handling and warehouse technology or of sub-areas
- Expert use of MS Office, particularly MS Project and Excel
- Ability to read CAD drawings developed by the team
- Stylistically confident spoken and written English (conversational)
- Strong organizational skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Willingness to travel overnight
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
