About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Increase growth across the US and Canada
- Expand distribution and increase market share in existing accounts
- Identify new business opportunities and implement strategic programs
- Strengthen SEM's position within automotive refinish, body shop, commercial, and retail channels
- Work with Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Key Account teams to deliver commercial execution, enhance customer experience, and accelerate SEM's Allied portfolio
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across USCA
- Onboard and support new distributors, jobbers, and retail partners
- Lead commercial programs for abrasives, masking, aerosols, body fillers, and paint cups
- Develop business cases, growth plans, and financial targets for new opportunities
- Partner with regional sales teams on Allied portfolio plans
- Conduct business reviews with distributors and large body shop groups
- Develop sales tools, training materials, and category promotions with Marketing
- Recommend pricing, product positioning, promotions, and channel strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or category management in automotive refinish, industrial distribution, or related markets
- Knowledge of SEM Allied Products
- Negotiation skills and ability to close opportunities
- Valid driver's license
- Maintain automobile insurance
- Access to a personal vehicle meeting PPG's FAVR program requirements
- Successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
