About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using automation tools and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Build and improve robust CI/CD pipelines for low-friction, high-confidence releases
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, availability, reliability, and security
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues before they impact users
- Participate in incident response efforts and training
- Resolve incidents promptly and conduct post-mortem root-cause analysis
- Define and enforce SLAs for availability, performance, and security
- Forecast capacity requirements and scale infrastructure to meet growing demand
- Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards
- Drive continuous improvement through new technologies and processes
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams on scalability challenges and development lifecycle bottlenecks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 4–6+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a similar role
- Strong scripting and programming skills
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS
- Hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration technologies
- Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar monitoring and observability tools
- Canadian-based candidate
- Preference for applicants legally authorized to work in Canada
