About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python and Node.js
Own APIs, business logic, and data workflows backed by PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Contribute to frontend features (approximately 30%) to deliver complete product experiences
Develop and maintain web scraping and data ingestion pipelines in compliance with applicable legal and ethical frameworks
Work effectively with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to turn requirements into scalable solutions
Improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing systems
Participate in technical decisions and architecture discussions
Own features end to end, with an approximate split of 70% backend and 30% frontend

Requirements

What you’ll need

French proficiency is required for this role
English proficiency is required
French proficiency is required
4+ years of experience in Full-Stack Engineering or Backend Engineering
Strong backend experience with Python and/or Node.js
Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Comfortable contributing occasionally to frontend codebases
Experience with or interest in web scraping and systems processing large volumes of data
Strong knowledge of modern AI-assisted development practices
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently
Based in Latin America
Experience with OCR, computer vision, or document processing is a plus
Experience building automation- or data-driven products is a plus
Startup or scale-up experience is a plus
