About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python and Node.js
Own APIs, business logic, and data workflows powered by PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Contribute to frontend features, approximately 30% of the time, to deliver end-to-end product experiences
Develop and maintain web scraping and data ingestion pipelines in compliance with applicable legal and ethical frameworks
Work effectively with AI-assisted development tools, including Cursor and Copilot
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to turn requirements into scalable solutions
Improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing systems
Participate in technical decisions and architecture discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need

French proficiency is required for this role
English proficiency is required
French proficiency is required
4+ years of experience in full-stack or backend engineering
Strong backend experience with Python and/or Node.js
Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Comfortable contributing to frontend codebases as needed
Experience with or interest in web scraping and systems that process large volumes of data
Good knowledge of modern AI-assisted development practices
Strong ownership and ability to work independently
Based in Latin America
Experience with OCR, computer vision, or document processing is a plus
Experience building automation- or data-driven products is a plus
Startup or scale-up experience is a plus
