About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Be familiar with the operational aspects of all filling machines and clean those machines
  • Minimize machinery downtime
  • Follow established work-area cleaning practices
  • Monitor product quality and identify problems early
  • Communicate with co-workers to coordinate run schedules
  • Perform duties consistently with GMP, state and federal regulations, and company/plant safety policies
  • Perform established quality assurance tests in the lab
  • Order and receive packaging and ingredients
  • Maintain communication with Utility People, Receiving, Processing, Filling, and Blow Mold operators
  • Display a high level of professionalism
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules with changing start times when needed
  • Customer service oriented
  • Good attendance/reliability record
  • Solid understanding of GMP and state/federal regulations and practices
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Stand/walk for virtually the entire shift
  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Some work on ladders is required
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be safety conscious
  • Must be flexible to changes
  • Decision-maker and performance oriented
  • Problem solving
  • Must work within strict operating standards
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Willingness to work morning or night shifts, some weekends, and occasional overtime
  • Required PPE includes bump cap, hearing protection, and rubber boots
  • Hairnets are required
