About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate logistical and relational aspects of short-term mission trips
- Stay on-site and participate in ministry alongside host teams
- Lead teams through logistical, relational, and spiritual aspects of trips
- Build and maintain relationships with local PPM church partners and ministries
- Oversee service projects, relational outreach, and daily schedules
- Ensure groups have clear direction and required supplies
- Assist with evening devotions and Gospel-centered debriefs
- Prepare breakfast and dinner and support sack-lunch setup
- Support local cooks with dishes and other tasks when needed
- Monitor meal and ministry-site inventory
- Assist the trip leader with supply runs
- Care for, clean, and prepare lodging facilities before and after group stays
- Turn in receipts for reimbursement as needed
- Drive teams and staff between sites in some locations if aged 21 or older
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 or older at the time of service
- Available for at least 2–4 consecutive weeks during peak Spring and/or Summer seasons
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in a missions or ministry setting
- Able to attend PPM’s Training Conference in North Carolina April 23–25, 2027
- Must complete assigned online training modules
- Devoted Christ-follower actively engaged in a local church
- Alignment with PPM’s Statement of Faith
- Humble, dependable, adaptable, and able to work as a servant leader
- Comfortable working with people from diverse cultural, geographical, and denominational backgrounds
- Willing to work non-traditional hours and live in close community while forgoing typical comforts
- Staff aged 21 and older may drive teams and staff in rental vehicles, including 15+ passenger vans
