About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement relationship development and future sales planning within strategic accounts, supporting program development and repeat business from biotech and pharmaceutical companies
- Identify leads and qualify targeted oncology and rare disease sponsors
- Conduct introductory and follow-up meetings with prospective clients and Regional Vice Presidents of Business Development
- Secure RFPs and collaborate with Business Operations, Proposal Team, and other staff to create proposals for new business
- Coordinate Executive Team members across PMG to leverage expertise and bring in new business
- Find innovative ways to work across business units to sell PMG services
- Represent the company at trade shows and client-sponsored events
- Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and Executive Team members to design and implement marketing programs supporting sales
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations, including data management companies, other CROs, and related organizations
- Update Salesforce or other metrics-tracking software to provide metric-driven reporting for company leadership
- Provide regular feedback to the Executive Team on company positioning, pricing, competitiveness, and market conditions
- Maintain close contact with key sponsor personnel to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded
- Serve as the main point of contact for external clients and potential partners
- Assist in program development for strategic alliances
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a business, scientific or healthcare discipline
- 12 years or more in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to drive
- Availability for domestic and international travel, including overnight stays
- Experience with corporate management and sales in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry (preferred)
- Postgraduate or graduate education (preferred)
- Keen understanding of the Oncology and Rare Disease Development market and Precision for Medicine's role in that environment
- Ability to resolve company and client-related problems and prioritize workload to meet deadlines with little management support
- Ability to work and plan independently and in a team environment
- Ability to motivate others to meet timelines and company goals
- Ability to identify training needs for direct reports and develop training plans
- Exemplary verbal and written communication
- High proficiency conducting formal presentations to colleagues, investigative staff, and clients
- Ability to assess and quantify internal and external risks
- Practical knowledge of company and project-team IT tools and systems
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employer sponsorship
