About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, mentor, and train financial analysts in finance project support
  • Design, develop, and implement project financial processes to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Produce monthly financial metrics for the CFO and Executive Director of Operational Finance, including revenue recognition, forecasting, variance analysis, utilization versus costing, consultant spend, and vendor spend versus budget
  • Align with intercompany Finance Teams on project budgets, monthly revenue, backlog, and intercompany agreements
  • Support project teams in financial matters related to clinical trials
  • Assist with monthly invoicing worksheets used for client invoicing and revenue recognition
  • Perform variance analysis of forecasted versus actual revenue
  • Review work orders and change order budgets against actual activities to identify out-of-scope work
  • Perform monthly EVAs with Project Directors and Project Managers
  • Participate in monthly project review meetings and serve as financial lead at client Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Support contract document reviews, including statements of work and change orders
  • Ensure timely monthly financial reporting with the Finance Team
  • Respond to CFO and Executive Director inquiries, reporting requests, and project-related ad hoc analyses
  • Assist with new procedures and features to improve workflow and internal controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related business field
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience in project finance
  • Working knowledge of project budgets, financial project management support, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), and financial contract review
  • Direct experience working with sponsors
  • CRO industry experience
  • Occasional travel to sponsor locations for QBRs and face-to-face meetings
  • Local travel to the Precisions Office for meetings
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employer sponsorship
