About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, CWP, and turf equipment, as well as established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
Participate in required Service EDUCATE training programs
Support customer clinics
Review and explain maintenance, repair, and other service concerns directly with customers and document them on work orders
May promote and sell Premier Equipment Ltd. service programs directly to customers
May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle
Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments
Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
Account for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 2 years of hands-on service repair experience
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic abilities
Proficient with diagnostic tools and basic computer functions
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift 75lbs. repeatedly and operate diagnostic equipment
Valid driver’s license
Apprenticeship training or technical diploma is an asset
Licensed technician (310T, 310S, 421A, or 425A) is preferred
Advanced or Master Service Technician certification or equivalent experience is preferred
Experience with John Deere equipment and systems is preferred
CDL and forklift licenses are preferred
Background in agricultural, turf, or compact construction equipment is preferred
