About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure all non-exempt accounting department employees are highly productive and execute their jobs efficiently according to company standards and customer expectations
- Schedule staff to meet anticipated business demands
- Train new employees on processes and procedures
- Participate in selecting new employees and recommend disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and termination
- Assist with completing monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer's format and timeframe
- Reconcile select accounts monthly
- Approve adjustments to receivable accounts
- Ensure manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts, are current and accurate
- Assist with preparing month-end bonus calculations
- Assist with preparing monthly detailed expense reports
- Assist with completing annual reviews/audits
- Maintain a follow-up system for assigned projects
- Establish personal performance goals and devise strategies to meet them
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- A.A. degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Two to three years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in a position that involves handling cash is preferred
- Supervisory experience is preferred
