About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare financial statements, statistical reports and bank reconciliations
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
- Prepare and post journal entries during month-end close
- Perform balance sheet and budget comparison analysis and explain variances
- Manage dealership depreciation and fixed assets
- Perform dealership factory payable reconciliation
- Perform deposit reconciliation and posting
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliation
- Calculate sales and use tax
- Process warranty payments and credit memos
- Approve and verify AP invoices
- Audit sales analysis
- Maintain, post, apply and verify monies from truck sales, including down payments, deposits, credit card slips, refunds and bank wires
- Process customer refunds
- Provide daily dealership assistance
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of one year experience in a dealership environment preferred
- Experience with the automotive sales, service and parts industry a plus
- Advanced level of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work well with all levels of team members to ensure customer satisfaction
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all business and employment issues
- Operating all necessary office equipment
- A college degree in accounting or a related field is required
- Additional training in accounting and on computers
- A valid driver’s license is required
