About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production schedules and specifications
Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production cycles
Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
Inspect molded parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
Document production data, machine settings, and shift issues
Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment malfunctions and quality concerns
Adhere to safety protocols, company policies, GMP regulations, PPE requirements, food safety procedures, and SQF System requirements
Perform related work assigned by the Manager
Work primarily standing (75%) and walking (25%), with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience operating injection molding machines or similar manufacturing equipment
Basic understanding of machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control standards
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as work orders and blueprints
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely
Certification in injection molding or plastics manufacturing (preferred)
Experience with troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs on injection molding equipment (preferred)
Familiarity with computerized machine controls and data entry systems (preferred)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices (preferred)
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment (preferred)
Ability to meet physical demands, including frequent bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Must follow GMP, PPE, food safety, quality, and SQF System requirements
