About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes
- Oversee patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes and patient safety
- Direct unit staff in designated service areas
- Work under the direction of the Nursing Director
- Collaborate with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as part of the management/leadership team
- May provide direct patient care
- Work in a progressive/acute care environment providing intermediate levels of care
- Cross-train in the ICU
- Monitor higher-acuity patients, including patients with long-term tracheostomies and drips
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum one year of nursing experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing minimum from an accredited academic nursing program
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification required at time of hire
