About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes
  • Oversee patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes and patient safety
  • Direct unit staff in designated service areas
  • Work under the direction of the Nursing Director
  • Collaborate with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as part of the management/leadership team
  • May provide direct patient care
  • Work in a progressive/acute care environment providing intermediate levels of care
  • Cross-train in the ICU
  • Care for higher-acuity patients, including patients with long-term tracheostomies and drips requiring monitoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing minimum from an accredited academic nursing program
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification required at time of hire
