About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform general mechanical, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and repair projects for PRIDE Industries facilities
Perform general carpentry, electrical, and plumbing preventative maintenance, repairs, and new construction projects
Perform HVAC preventative maintenance
Repair interior walls through demolition, drywall installation, painting, and finish work
Purchase supplies and materials for construction, electrical, and plumbing projects
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Work under general supervision with no direct reports
Travel frequently as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

One or more years of work experience in building maintenance
Knowledge of Cal OSHA and OSHA occupational safety regulations
Knowledge and proper use of specialized equipment for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry trades
Ability to read and understand construction, electrical, and equipment drawings and schematics
Effective oral and written communication skills
Human relations skills to build effective relationships with team and internal customers
Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
Knowledge of business English, including vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
Mathematical skills involving fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Ability to establish priorities and solve business problems
Customer service, common sense, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Flexibility to handle changing priorities and multiple projects
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License may be required depending on local, state, and/or contract requirements
Ability to maneuver around equipment, stand and walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 35 pounds
Compliance with ITAR regulations and ability to obtain authorization for access to ITAR-controlled information may be required
Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency may be required
Satisfactory completion of security background checks
