About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule vehicle repairs and lubrication for vehicle maintenance
- Schedule vehicle safety inspections
- Drive vehicles to repair shops for service and maintenance
- Inspect vehicles and equipment upon issue and return
- Maintain issuance of keys, record sheets, and driver credentials
- Issue equipment to drivers, including vehicles and elevated work platforms
- Inform supervisors of scheduled repairs or maintenance
- Assist with loading elevated platforms onto transporters
- Perform other assigned duties and special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two or more years of prior work experience in a transportation environment
- Ability to follow direction, structured processes, and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively to provide information, complete daily records, and respond to inquiries and requests
- Ability to manage and accurately track data and adapt to changing work priorities
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, including independent judgment
- Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
- Organizational, problem-solving, common-sense, and attention-to-detail skills
- Flexibility in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to enter, look up, and retrieve data from multiple related systems and databases
- Ability to travel to and from worksites
- Ability to work safely
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License may be required depending on local, state, and/or contract requirements
- Ability to perform listed physical demands, including lifting or moving boxes up to 25 pounds
