About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the NPI test process and assist engineering with prototype bring-up
  • Set up and operate standard and specialized test equipment
  • Perform failure analysis and develop or modify test equipment and test procedures
  • Develop and build specialized test equipment and fixtures
  • Install and debug software programming and test applications
  • Test complex analog and digital printed circuit boards and assemblies
  • Troubleshoot to component level and repair nonconforming assemblies
  • Determine failure root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Solder and de-solder components on surface-mount and through-hole circuit board assemblies
  • Create bug lists and debug procedures; collect test and rework data
  • Train and support lower-level technicians and test operators
  • Utilize software and complete transactions
  • Perform other assigned duties and special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five or more years of experience in electronic assemblies test, troubleshooting and rework, preferably in a production environment
  • BSEET preferred
  • Ability to operate standard electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supply and digital multi-meters
  • Strong knowledge of theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components
  • Demonstrated failure analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge in minimal amount of time
  • Ability to work with sufficient speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to perform job functions as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from team, customers and others
  • Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English
  • Human relations skills to maintain effective working relationships with team
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Intermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
  • Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense skills
  • Associates education requirement
  • Must comply with ITAR regulations; proof of U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency may be required
  • Satisfactory completion of security background checks
